Be safe

I recently brought this item and have had a number of issues. When setting up the grass trimmer the head bolts needed loosening for an adjustment as the drive pin was not making contact. The bolts were so tight the tool kit couldn’t cope with it and bent! While using it the unit just stopped and I found I had to strip it down as the carburettor has worked its way loose and the machine wouldn’t run unless it was rebuilt! I would advise not to use it in wet conditions or if there’s a chance of rain. You will receive electric shocks from the screw retaining the housing at the top of the unit. The cord spool is cheap quality and the strimmer cord smashes chunks out of the housing and finally…. The unit is heavy and something that will cause pain if using for long durations and too heavy as a hedge cutter

Not great at all

Ok Ill be completely honest here.
Firstly I ordered a Hyundai unit, was told it was no longer available and offered an alternative. The Jobsite handbook and link to the unit was offered and I had a look at the unit. As a mechanical engineer and daily user and owner of power tools, I was aware that the original price of £199, reduced now to £165 might have to shape my expectations of the product, but I decided to proceed.
The unit arrived in a severe state of disassembly, fortunately as an engineer I was more than able to build it, just my time spent doing it! It was probably a blessing as I had to re route and fit the electrical wiring on the motor unit, as it was fitted vulnerably and not very well, insert securing grommets on the cables and ignition lead on the body of the unit, I then spent 2 hours trying to get the unit to start. During this process I discovered that the Starter cord recoil unit is either non existant or non functional, as I have never nearly had my fingers broken so often trying to start a power tool in my life, I ended up using a strip of cloth, wrapped around the starter cord handle for safety!
I eventually discovered that the choke mechanism is marked in the moulding on the unit, exactly the wrong way round, so off=on and on=off! Once this was established, I then got the unit to run.
I noted that the catch and mechanism on the transmission joint on the centre of the unit drive shaft seemed a bit under engineered and prone to not engaging properly. I nevertheless decided to employ the unit as an extra machine on a large hedge task. The first outing resulted in the air cleaner falling apart during the job, screws lost, went and replaced the screws and reassembled air cleaner. The motor ran for another hour and got progressively worse before failing completely. At this point we put the unit aside and finished the job with the other tools. On further inspection I discovered that the carburettor had vibrated free from the motor. So that evening I had to strip and reassemble the unit completely using studlock and a torque wrench, at this point I checked every screw fixture on the unit and half were little more than hand tight! The person assembling this clearly had no power in their arm!
I thought I will give the unit the benefit of the doubt and try to use again. Next task I discovered that the different tool shafts were rotating in the centre joint of the transmission shaft as the mechanism was not robust enough to handle the torque from the motor to the tools. We had to tighten the unit again and again on the hand screw in the centre joint, until it eventually stripped the thread, with the units STILL rotating due to the torque in the shaft!
A replacement Hex drive set screw was obtained and fitted, an Allen key now used to tighten the connection, which seems to have currently prevented the rotation at the centre joint.
The only reason at this point I havent returned the unit is simply because I need an extra unit right now. I have concerns from an engineering safety perspective if Im honest but the power in a 52cc engine is quite difficult to come by as most units are much smaller nowadays.
So being used as a supplementary machine on 2 jobs the unit has failed 3 times and used time and effort to re-employ.
Despite asking for the difference in price to be refunded this hasnt happened and quite honestly I wish Id just spent the extra money on another Stihl unit.....
I thought Id give the Hyundai a try and this allegedly Japanese built alternative unit is very poor, should have known better tbh......
Might send it back, but not very confident about the possibility of a refund
