Having ordered a brand new pump, I expected it to arrive in working order. It was not as the self priming pump failed to prime and would not pump water.
I was then shunted between the customer services team at Toolshouse.co.uk where I bought the item online (which is simply a front for Machine Mart) and the Clarke technical team to try to establish what was wrong.
Having spoken with the technical team at Clarke, they confirmed the item appeared to have a fault.
I then had to go back to Toolshouse.co.uk to request they collect the faulty item. I requested a refund as per my statutory rights. They arranged a collection and the pump went back to their warranty department for inspection.
The pump was then delivered to me without warning, and with it, a note that the pump did indeed have a fault with the fan cover but that they had repaired this free of charge.
I cannot recommend this Clarke pump, toolshouse.co.uk or Machine Mart and will NOT be a returning customer to any of these companies in the future.
OVERALL VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE EXPERIENCE.
